WHAT WE DISPUTE

We dispute personal information as well as the following account types:

  • Bankruptcies

  • Charge-offs

  • Child Support

  • Collections

  • Evictions

  • Foreclosures

  • Identity Theft

  • Inquiries

  • Late Payments

  • Medical Debt

  • Repossessions

  • Student Loans

Our Process

Penn has a refined three step process that has proven to be very efficient and highly effective.

Step 1

INVESTIGATE

We investigate by sending request for information letters to each and every furnisher on the report, in order to gathering key details about accounts. This evidence helps supports our factual based disputes with the credit reporting agencies since we are able to attach relevant documentation to the dispute to strengthen the case.

Step 2

DISPUTE

Once we have gathered the necessary information from furnishers, we proceed with the dispute process by
sending formal disputes to the credit reporting agencies and furnishers. These disputes challenge any inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete information on your credit report that is not supported by the documents sent by furnisher of the information.

Step 3

LITIGATE

If CRAs or furnishers fail to correct inaccurate or incomplete information, we escalate the case to arbitration or litigation. Our team reviews their responses for violations and if they fail to comply with their legal obligations, we prepare the file for litigation, and work with consumer protection attorneys to ensure proper legal action is commenced.

Step 1

INVESTIGATE

Bankruptcy overages are money that is goes unclaimed for numerous reasons. At the conclusion of a bankruptcy case sometimes funds remain unclaimed by both the debtor and/ or creditor. Only one attempt is made to reach the owner of the funds and at times it is unsuccessful, resulting in an overage.

Step 2

DISPUTE

Mortgage overages are the surplus funds left over when a foreclosed property is sold at a foreclosure auction for more than the remaining mortgage owed to the lender. Most people are unaware of the surplus in equity refund that is due to them after losing their home in auction.

Step 3

LITIGATE

Tax overages are properties sold at tax sale auctions which results in a property selling for more than what was owed to the county for unpaid property taxes. Most people are unaware of the surplus from the tax sale and usually have anywhere from 2 to 5 years to claim it before the county becomes entitled to keep to funds.

STILL NOT SURE?

We understand you may still have questions, here are some of our most FAQs.

Question 1: Does Penn provide credit sweeps?

No, Penn does not provide a "credit sweep." We only dispute inaccurate or incomplete information on the credit report. We do not and can not legally guarantee you any results, score increases, or improved credit ratings, as that would be a violation of the Credit Repair Organization Act.

Question 2: How many rounds of disputes do I get?

At Penn, we only do two rounds of letters and then send the file to one of our attorneys for litigation. The law only requires us to dispute once; there is no need for unlimited rounds, as that is a complete waste of time and money. We do send letters to consumer reporting agencies, creditors, and debt collectors.

Question 3: How long does the process take?

By law, the consumer reporting agencies can take up to 30 days to investigate a dispute. Once we submit the file for litigation, the lawsuit and the time it takes to litigate the case is completely out of our control, both you and our attorneys are on the court's time. We can not promise a specific timeframe, but we try to get case completed within 180 days.

Question 4: What will I get when I signup for the program?

Once you complete enrollment, we will begin working on your credit report to dispute any inaccurate information. The program also provides you with information you need to complete in order to help build your credit profile.

Question 5: How much does it cost and what does it cover?

Penn charges a one-time $297.00 enrollment fee and NO monthly fee. You will also have to maintain credit monitoring with our service provider for a $29.99 monthly fee. This covers certified mail for all dispute letters, secure portal access for real-time progress monitoring, detailed credit analysis, ongoing updates and support, and ensuring a tailored and transparent credit repair process designed for your success.

Question 6: Do I have to pay the attorney fees upfront?

No, you don't have to pay the attorney's fees upfront, however, filing lawsuits & litigation is not free, our attorneys work on contingency, meaning you pay nothing upfront, and they only get paid out of the settlement if they win your case.

Question 7: Does Penn sell tradelines?

No, Penn does not and will never sell tradelines. We believe it is best to establish your own credit and have permanent results that will last long term. When you buy tradelines, they only report for months at a time, and then you are removed, which does not benefit you in the long term. It's best to establish good financial behaviors.

Question 8: Does Penn provide CPNs?

No, Penn does not provide CPNs, it's illegal, you read about that here: https://www.justice.gov/usao-ednc/pr/three-plead-guilty-conspiracy-defraud-financial-institutions-and-other-credit-issuers. You using a CPN is illegal as well, you can read about the illegal use of CPNs here: https://www.justice.gov/usao-wdok/pr/oklahoma-city-man-receives-18-months-prison-use-credit-profile-numbers

Question 9: Is credit monitoring required?

Yes, it is required that you use and retain credit monitoring provided by us for the duration of the service. It is also suggested you keep credit monitoring so you can monitor any changes or possible identity theft in your profile after all services are completed.

Question 10: Will you help with building credit?

Yes, we provide each client with actionable milestones to help them establish and build healthy credit profiles.
